Central Park Hoodie

Das Internet ist mittlerweile voll mit Bildern von dieser praktischen Jacke, die in der Herbst-Ausgabe 2006 der Zeitschrift “Knitscene” erschienen war. Das Heft ist schon seit langem vergriffen, aber einzelne besonders beliebte Anleitungen, darunter auch die oben genannte Jacke, kann man zum Glück nachkaufen. Genau das habe ich getan, weil mir das Modell gut gefiel.
Dann habe ich diese Jacke so schnell gestrickt, dass ich nicht einmal Zeit für die obligatorischen Fotos vom Zwischenstand fand. Innerhalb von zehn Tagen war sie dank Strickmaschine fertig. Die dicht nebeneinander liegenden Zöpfe auf Ärmeln und Rückenteil sind allerdings nichts für Unerfahrene, man sollte seine Strickmaschine schon gut kennen, um so etwas zu stricken.
Verstrickt habe ich etwa 800 g Stahlsche Wolle Granda Superwash, 100 % Schurwolle, Lauflänge 75 m/50 g. Das Garn ist relativ locker verzwirnt, ich hoffe, es erweist sich als haltbar, denn die Jacke ist schon innerhalb von zwei Tagen ein Lieblingsstück geworden und wird bestimmt auch weiterhin oft getragen.

The Internet is full of pictures showing this practical jacket, which was first published in the Fall 2006 issue of “Knitscene”. This issue has been out of print for some time now, but some particularly popular instructions can be bought separately. That’s what I did because I liked this hoodie.
I made it so fast that I did not even find the time for the mandatory in-progress photos. It took me ten days at the knitting machine to finish it. The closely spaced cables at back and sleeves, however, are not for the novice machine knitter. You should know your machine before approaching this pattern.
I used about 800 g of Stahlsche Wolle Granda Supewash, 100 % pure new wool, 75 m per 50 g. The yarn is rather loosely plied, and I hope it will prove durable, for the hoodie has become a favourite within two days, and I will certainly wear it often.
